It's well known Plone is the main choice for Brazilian government websites and portals, but in the last two years Plone has also conquered some major success cases on media companies, placing it among huge players as Vignette, Oracle and Microsoft. This talk shows some case studies of Plone implementations and some pitfalls we found on it.

Erico Andrei is founding member and Marketing and PR Manager of Fundacao Python Brasil, and in his free time he act as CTO of Simples Consultoria, a Brazilian consulting company focused on usability, information architecture and content management solutions.
Prior to that, Erico Andrei was IT Manager at Editora Abril, major publishing group in Brazil, to their Internet initiatives. Editora Abril had, at that time (2000-2003), more than 40 sites and portals with an average monthly audience of half a billion page views and brands like Playboy, Veja, Placar and Exame. (All leading magazines in theirs segments) In the past he worked as Marketing Evangelist at Microsoft Brasil for 2 years and moved to Vesta Technologies, an e-commerce development solutions' startup focused on B2B portal development -- like ComprasNet (Brazilian government procurement portal).
